Thank you to In A heartbeat for helping us win the day By Offereing Free heart screenings.

The JH Win The Day Foundation held it’s 2nd Annual Free Heart Screening Event at Taconic High School in Pittsfield, MA.

The screenings were offered to all Berkshire County School Districts for youth ages 8-25 yrs old. We were fortunate to have tested 77 young people.

The screenings offer a heart check with EKG machine performed by Registered Nurses who volunteer their services. A 10 minute non-invasive, pain free, test that can potentially save lives.

Heart screenings detect many, but not all heart conditions and abnormalities.

It is very important to the JH Win The Day Foundation to ensure that all students of various fitness levels take advantage of these free screenings when offered.

If your child’s EKG is within normal limits you’ll receive an email from In A Heartbeat. If an abnormality is detected you’ll receive a phone call from Yale.

Parents will have a sense of relief knowing they had their child screened.
